Dream
Here in Denver, we have over 100 degree heat in June. We are in a stage one drought. We have extreme road rage and had a shooting at the end of the City Park Jazz Festival. Colorado has made history this month with the number of acres and homes burned in forest fires. Confrontations are quickly escalating into arguments. Here's one way i've been connecting to Source and to Nature when we are stuck in our air-conditioned, swamp-cooled shelters. i sit in a room in the late afternoon or evening that faces West because that is where the light show is at that time of day. i play music that slows me down and i look up through the windows at the hot air current moving the tops of the trees. i watch the sun patterns on my hardwood floor. No matter what happened to me in my day, i am now suspended in this silent slow-motion dream. i am one of the brave spirits who came here for this time in the history of Earth. i breathe in the feeling of the patterns of light and the swaying treetops. i am one with Source.
