My Goal
As a healer, my goal is to unclog every circuit, chakra, river and ring in your energy system until every current of light is activated within you. Your system can then naturally pull the Light from Source down into itself. I know that your healing session is complete when i can see and feel that your body is floating within your own magical world of light within the world.

Ariel's "Newsletter"
Some of you crazy people have brought in a crystal for me to clear during your session. In the new healing room, i can not only clear the crystals, but there is an Angel working thru me to charge the crystal with angelic light too. Boundaries
Often when we are first learning to have healthy boundaries around ourselves, we use force and harshness with our words like we are telling the other person that we've had enough and that they aren't going to run over us ever ever again! But, really, drawing the line isn't about fighting somebody off, it's about self-love and self-care. If we take the focus off of the person that we allowed to affect us negatively, creating a boundary is really as easy as asking ourselves if this moment makes us happy or not and then honoring that feeling by taking action. If we feel guilty about making decisions based on what we need, great! That means we are probably thinking of our own needs for once! If our priority is to make ourselves happy each moment, even if our job is to serve others, then we are being energetically responsible for our own bubble--filling it daily with light by giving to ourselves. An energy field that is full of light is a strong and resilient one with natural boundaries.

Drifting
When we have a physical trauma, it is pretty common for our spirit to say, "See ya!" and quickly exit the body to not stick around for the pain. I wrote this poem about just that:
Little brother is falling through the window...
floating in slow motion backwards...
smiling pleasantly...
blue eyes dreaming....
Father knocks me over,
crashes through the stairwell
to rescue brother from the porch roof
where he lies sleeping.
Mother drives us, wide-eyed,
to the healer.
Brother lies still
in his sling and scabs,
staring.
The healer makes a wind sound with her breath,
waves her long fingers like wands over him and
pulls his floating spirit back down into his body.
Brother laughs,
Swings his legs side to side.
Blue eyes sparkle.

Emotional Needs
I feel like we are expecting too many of our emotional needs to be met by our mate, our friend, or our family. Today, let's go straight to the Light, instead, and ask to be filled with peace. Just sit down in the moment, wherever you are, close your eyes and say, "I ask the to be filled with the Light." Open your hands, breathe, and imagine yellow-white light flowing from above your head and shoulders down over you, through you, and past your feet until you feel more fulfilled.

Couple's Healings
Well, guys! I have a new passion: Couple's Healings. (Don't worry. I'm still doing individual healings too.) Here's how it works: If you choose to do one of these, you and your mate do not come to the office the way you would for an individual healing. Instead, you each call in from separate locations. And each of you calls me on a different phone number. I have my headsets to my landline in one ear and my cell phone headset in the other ear. I can hear both of you, but you can't hear each other. The reason for this set-up is so that each person feels safe enough spew out what is bothering them without the other person chiming in, interrupting or disagreeing, which is why most people stop communicating in the first place. If one person won't quit talking out of turn, i simply set down that headset until it's their turn.
I start by opening with a prayer to ask our Guides to be with each of us. I ask the Guides to open our crown chakras for clarity. I pray that they center us and ground us and help us to leave our busy lives behind to focus on the session. Then, i ask the Guides who they want me to start with. Let's say our couple's names are Fred and Martha. And let's say i am guided to begin with Martha. Fred can hear me as i ask Martha what topic she would like to bring up. I ask her to talk about something that upset her in their relationship this week. She goes off, complaining and ranting about what a jerk Fred was. Fred can't hear any of this. Then, i help Martha rewrite the experience as if Fred was the perfect mate in her eyes. This rewrite is what i tell Fred. I don't tell him what Martha says is wrong with him. I tell him what, in her mind, the ideal husband would've done instead of what he actually did in real life. Fred may have two reactions. One may be: "Wow. Good to know. I had no idea that that's what she wanted me to do." And Fred may also go into a rage that goes something like this: "That is not what i said! Let me tell you what she did!" Martha hears none of this. All Martha hears is me guiding Fred until he has a rewrite of the controversial situation and behavior. That's what i relay to Martha. Martha might say, "Ok. That sounds like a good solution." Or she might blow up and begin defending herself and attacking him. Fred hears none of this. The reason for my method is so that we don't waste the whole hour arguing, the way that you may have spent months or years arguing. Instead, we spend our energy creating what we want our relationships to be like.
At the end, i ask the Guides to clear out all of the energetic patterns of misunderstanding. Then, i weave the new threads of communication between you that we created in the session. I may connect your heart chakras or your soul light, depending on what is needed.
To schedule one of these, just call Elizabeth at the office, 303 377 1688, and tell her you want to book a Couple's Healing. Moving
For Mother's Day, my daughter was going to help me in the garden, but it's snowing here in Denver and she's still asleep from After Prom last night, so i thought, what better time to write to you about my move?
I have been rudely and inconsiderately kicked out of our building in Cherry Creek as of May 31st. I could say that the man down the hall who wants to take over my space is the type that would plow down a rain forest without considering how he might be affecting the lives of any inhabitants there, but i had this dream. In the dream, he was scared and on the verge of a breakdown, stressing over how he will support his wife and two sons with his business. So, i can't point the finger at him. The landlord could've stuck up for me and let me stay. But, i can't be mad at him either, because when i went to speak to him he told me how i am the perfect, ideal tenant and how he wants me to move upstairs in his building. Here's how i know not to move upstairs even though he has offered me a great deal: When i went up there and walked into that space, i just started crying and could not stop. When this happens, there is a chakra in our systems giving us a clear read: NO! and trying to flush out the offensive energy. I don't let my brain talk me out of my instinct. So, i listened to my reaction and told the landlord no thank you, and that it's time for me to go.
Back in February, as the end of my lease was approaching, i prayed a lot to decide whether i wanted to stay in my healing room or not. I looked at several places and decided that i didn't see anything better than what i have, so, I decided to stay and then WHAM! SLAM! Guess not. I could blame others for what is happening to me or i can see it as the Answer i asked for! No one said that transitions are smooth.
Here's how it hit me energetically: my back went out for a week with pain in the right: in my style of energy work, the right side of the body represents career. So, if something turbulent is happening in the career, it can show up in the body on the right. As soon as i recovered from the back pain, WHAM! I had to have a dental bone and gum graft. And, guess what side that's on: yep, the right. The right side of my jaw is so swollen it looks like i've been punched.
So! Now for the good part. I have this belief that for every single bad thing that happens to me due to this Earth plane existence, my Guides and Angels work hard to bring me something equally as good to help me survive it here. When i found out i had to leave my lovely healing room, i just let it be for a few days and walked and gave it to God and kept my vibration high, trusting that i would be taken care of. On a walk with Arrow, my dog, i saw a painter i know in the neighborhood walking his dog. Next thing you know i'm signing a lease in a building that he told me about on that walk.
Here is the bliss: There are strange abstract painted unicorns in the stairwell. Really! There are. You have to come see. And when i step outside on the street, i breathe in the energy from the lakes at City Park that i can see from the the sidewalk. There is TONS of free parking! The parking lot seems to be bigger than the building, actually. (Thank you, Denverites for not complaining too much about how hard it has been to park this year in Cherry Creek due to all the construction around us. I know you've had to run to your sessions from blocks away sometimes.) More bliss: The two managers of the building are so excited for me to come there and for all of you to come and go from their building! They explained to me that they try to keep the energy good between their tenants by having a nice mix of different types of businesses. They called all of my references and interviewed me in their office to make sure i fit into the energy in their building. In my Cherry Creek building, people keep to themselves, but in the new building, people greet me and help me. In this building, one of the managers introduced me to a Native American woman in the hallway. He said, "This is our new tenant, Ariel; she is an energy healer." The woman said, "Ooohhhh," and smiled and nodded and looked at me knowingly. In my current building they don't know what i do and have nicknamed me "the belly dancer." Right beside my new office, is a psychic/life coach! I have sent 3 people to test his skills. (Gotta spy on my new neighbors, ya know...) So far, the feedback is that he is spot on and gives really helpful career guidance and homework. The managers already have my sign ready for me and texted me a photo of it. It took me 3 months to get my sign in my current building. And, best of all, one of the managers, Kirby, is building the rooms i need. He actually drove to my current healing space to see the room lay-outs i have now and then drew up a similar plan in the new space. Kirby, if you are reading this, thank you, thank you for turning a really bad experience for me into a good one. In my new building they use all earth-friendly cleaning products and recycled carpet when they need to replace it.
So, here we go together, on another moving adventure. Keep coming to 165 Cook St until June 1. (i don't want to hear that you are sitting down at the new space prematurely in May!) We will add the new address to the answering machine message on June 1st. Elizabeth will make sure you know the new address at 1633 Fillmore St. Ste 380 Denver, CO 80206. (same zip) My phone is the same: 303 377 1688 And yes, i see how all of the numbers are alike. So cool.
Here we go to a happier and more welcoming environment! My vision is that those of you coming in person set aside a half hour after your healings to walk across the street, sit on a bench by the water, and just give thanks for the healing from your Guides and Angels. When i first moved to Denver 10 years ago, i would sit at City Park every day and dream that i would build a healing practice here like i had in WV. And here we are.

Birthday
On this St. Patty's Day, my birthday, I want to talk about how much i love it here on Earth. I love the way the sun comes in our windows of our houses. I love how we spend all of this time and energy creating our huts that we live in. I love how we plant little seeds in our yards that shoot up into things that we can eat. I love this clear liquid that flows throughout the Earth--and how we pour it into our bodies. I love how people post on FB that they are pregnant and then the next thing we know, the newsfeed is sprinkled with photos of these tiny beings blinking at us. And most of all, i love how precious the time is here because it does not last.
I am mesmerized by how one minute we are here and the next, floating away, a spirit into the light...Spirit Guides and Angels catching us and leading us across to layers upon layers of colors--planes of learning, healing and reunion.
It is my prayer today, on my 46th birthday, that i develop a deeper awareness of the moment that i am in, recognizing that this exact scene will never happen again. I give thanks for the unforgettable sensations here on Earth of swimming in water like a mermaid, feeling the rubbery softness of big red gerber daisies, sinking my hands into the thick black fur of my dog, and hugging my daughters goodnight and goodbye. I feel so lucky. Happy Saint Patrick's Day.

Let's Talk about Wrinkles
I want to have a sincere talk with my generation. When some of you make your faces too big and round for your body with Botox, stretch the skin back with face lifts, fatten your lips like a duck, and remove half of your eyelids, are you saying that you don't like my wrinkles and my skin? or that you just don't like yours? Because, i love love love the spirit that i see in my face. When i look in the mirror, my face says to me, "Ariel, you have lived, you lovely, strange, magical spirit. You are passing through time. You are on a miraculous journey." I am not afraid.
You do realize that as you guys inject your faces, that you are going to make me really stand out, don't you? In ten years, when i have gorgeous white hair and expressive lines, most of my friends are going to have smooth, puffy faces that feel squishy to the touch. If we don't love our own faces, who will?
Even with the face work, if you don't love your face, energetically, we can still sense that. And then we join you in that energy of un-love and criticism because that's how energy works. We are all feeling what each other is feeling because our energy fields overlap when we are together. All the Botox in the world, won't make us love your face. I love the look of depth and sorrow in your eyes. I love the way the lines around your mouth show me your strength and your pain. If i can't tell how old you are, i don't know whether to respect you or treat you like you don't know anything yet. I challenge you to show me your inner beauty. I challenge you to be authentically you from within. Show me your wisdom. Show me your powerful soul.
But, if you don't want to join me, that's fine too, because then you inadvertently just give me a unique and special look. Children will stare at me and wonder, why is she wrinkled like a strong tree? And they will trust me, because they will be able to read my expression. I will be an example of deep self love. I will show them how to be unafraid of our destiny.

Magical Moments
Speaking of hawks....One morning last month, i was writing by the wood stove in my living room and decided to stand up and move to the dining room. As i set my iPad down on the table, i happened to look up through a window and see a big thing drop to the ground across the street. I went to the front window and saw a hawk on the sidewalk with what looked like a broken wing. The hawk was tripping on the open, bent wing and trying to fly, but could just coast a few feet down the sidewalk. I did a long distance healing on the hawk from the window. Within minutes, it folded it's wings neatly and flew away.

Wonderful Wonders
Last month, a woman was on my table and i prayed silently that there would be a strong sign for her so that she would feel that she is not alone, but that God is with her. Near the end of her healing session, i looked up and there was a large hawk in the pine tree by the window. Yesterday, during the first part of a man's healing session, i was telling him the story of the hawk. About 15 minutes into his healing, the hawk, showed up again in the tree!

Today's Wonder
This evening, I was walking with my dog, Arrow, on the sidewalk through Congress Park by the pine trees. The sun was setting behind me. I looked up to see a large hawk gliding right toward my face! It was flying low into the sun, to make a landing in the pine tree behind me. I ducked to the ground and yelled, "Woah!" As i looked behind me, i could see it's striped tail before it disappeared up into the tree! So cool.

Bartering with God
Let's talk about bartering with God.
Sometimes, when some of you are worrying about a friend or family member who is suffering i will hear you pray something like this: "God, i will take the pain from my friend that i so desperately love, if you will just spare them from any more suffering." What kind of God are we talking to here? This is a kind of martyrdom thinking. Let's stay out of the way and not put ourselves in the mix, underestimating God's power. When we say prayers like this, i always wonder if all of the Guides and Angels look at us like they are confused. Asking God to give us someone else's burden is a strange kind of voodoo, where we would take our friend's bad energy that they are struggling with and relocate it to our own bodies. Let us drop the feeling that we have to carry the cross for others or suffer to deserve God's love. There are plenty of God's miracles to go around without having to trade with God. There is plenty of love and healing light for all.
Let us open our heart and crown chakras to receiving the miraculous light. A cleaner prayer would go something like this:
"God, i am worried about my friend. Please get me out of the way by taking this worry from me."
Then, just sit and breathe a minute while the Guides, who work as one with God, move the grey fear energy. Then continue with something like:
"I believe that your light can heal my friend. I ask, in the name of the God, that their suffering is removed. I ask that your Light pours down over them now, healing every chakra, every river of energy, and every cell in their body. I ask that they are healed spiritually, mentally and physically. In the name of the Light. Amen."
After basking in this flow of God's light that has just been sent to our friend from the Universe through us, let us stand up and go about our day, leaving it all behind, carrying nothing with us, but a light feeling of joy and miraculous energy.
Sometimes, when some of you are worrying about a friend or family member who is suffering i will hear you pray something like this: "God, i will take the pain from my friend that i so desperately love, if you will just spare them from any more suffering." What kind of God are we talking to here? This is a kind of martyrdom thinking. Let's stay out of the way and not put ourselves in the mix, underestimating God's power. When we say prayers like this, i always wonder if all of the Guides and Angels look at us like they are confused. Asking God to give us someone else's burden is a strange kind of voodoo, where we would take our friend's bad energy that they are struggling with and relocate it to our own bodies. Let us drop the feeling that we have to carry the cross for others or suffer to deserve God's love. There are plenty of God's miracles to go around without having to trade with God. There is plenty of love and healing light for all.
Let us open our heart and crown chakras to receiving the miraculous light. A cleaner prayer would go something like this:
"God, i am worried about my friend. Please get me out of the way by taking this worry from me."
Then, just sit and breathe a minute while the Guides, who work as one with God, move the grey fear energy. Then continue with something like:
"I believe that your light can heal my friend. I ask, in the name of the God, that their suffering is removed. I ask that your Light pours down over them now, healing every chakra, every river of energy, and every cell in their body. I ask that they are healed spiritually, mentally and physically. In the name of the Light. Amen."

Let's Talk About Sexual Affairs
Let's talk about sexual affairs...
So often we hear friends, family and neighbors blaming someone who has had an affair as if she or he is evil or bad. All of the fingers point at that woman or man for the sin. But, instead of becoming filled with hatred and spewing accusatory venom from our mouths, let's take an energetic look at affairs.
As an energy healer, it looks to me that the most common cause of sexual affairs is that people's soul light, in the upper chest, is dying out. Without our soul, we are just a body with no life in it. So people begin to panic and to look for ways to keep that light alive. If they feel a soul connection to someone outside of their marriage and they feel dead in their marriage, they may break all of the rules they have for themselves and follow this feeling as a way to survive. In the affair, their soul light flares up and they feel amazing again.
However, having an affair is a pretty torturous way to rekindle the soul light and here's why. Even though the soul lights up when we are with our new love, hiding and sneaking dims the entire energy bubble. The reason it dims the bubble is because a grey or black layer forms around the energy field to keep things hidden from others. This limits our ability to expand our light, so our energy field begins to shrink. Another reason that affairs are hard on people is because an affair will split the chakras in two, like the heart chakra and the second, sexual chakra. One half of the chakra has a cord in it to the marital partner and another cord on the other half goes to the affair. This split divides our energy so that we don't feel centered. Another common energy pattern of an affair is a secret in the throat chakra. I will sometimes see this as a black little hook-like, or paisley shaped-piece of energy that's constantly bothering the person. It can't be flushed out through meditation, because it's not fluid light.
When the big secret is discovered however, the partner left behind is usually pretty devastated and often suicidal. This is because the shock rips out the protective mesh over several chakras all at once, leaving big tears down the front of our energy body. This is from our perception of our reality being blown out and the cords to our mate being ripped out. The shocked person often fights for their sanity, by making things pretty black and white with anger and blame to make sense of it all.
There is a cleaner, healthier way to handle a dimming soul light than having an affair. In a perfect world, when a human feels their soul light burning out, we would first go straight to God to get it rekindled. God is where the light comes from, so going straight to the Source of our light is the obvious answer. Then, i would say that we need to ask God to help us to be clear in our actions and words and to be one with God's light at all times. What this does, is makes us really face our problems instead of escaping from them. Because God's light is so pure, we can't continue living in an off-balance way if we are truly filled with the presence of such peace. Affairs are like alcohol, medications, and drugs when they are used as a way to avoid standing in our power and speaking up. Let us all be brave enough to say when we are unhappy and to openly solve that for ourselves without fear.
If you are the person on the victim end of the affair, here's a way to make sure you don't take the self-righteous path of blaming someone else for all of your problems. I like to see it as if they did not do this to you. They were just used to move you to a new level in your life. Maybe you were kind of stuck before. Maybe you weren't really living at your highest potential. Because the purpose of this Earth is to advance and brighten, a mediocre life is not enough. Instead of thinking of your partner as wounding you so badly, see it as your partner was used to create an event in your life that is just the drastic turn you needed to make a complete change to become a better person. Our Spirit Guides get pretty excited about an opportunity for us to grow. But if we are busy focusing on the person who was used to "hurt us," we are missing the moment the Guides have been waiting for.
If you find yourself in this situation, crawl to your energy healer, get those grids sewn back up, get your crown connected to Source, and the chakras filled with God's light. Let your energy healer wake up the soul light, stand you back on your feet again and join your Guides for the next chapter of your life.

Gabriel's Prayer
To my college daughter, Gabriel, in Seattle,
This prayer is for you to say whenever you feel afraid or alone. I love you and am always with you. Mama.
"I call in my Guides and Angels.
Please move closer to me.
Let me feel your presence.
Connect my crown to the Light.
I ask that you remove all fear.
I ask that you remove all sadness.
I give these feelings to you now,
to take from me so that i may be healed."
(just rock back and forth for a few minutes, allowing your Guides to do the work before the next part of the prayer.)
